Master of Engineering Science / Master of Commerce

The Master of Engineering Science/Master of Commerce double degree allows students to graduate with two postgraduate qualifications. This degree is ideal for early or mid-career professionals seeking to advance their careers.

In this dual master's program, students will study discipline-specific courses unique to Engineering or Commerce, as well as building skills essential to professional decision-making, project and staff management, leadership, and strategy.

Entry Requirements

Admissions to the standard 2-year program require:

• A 3-year Bachelor Degree (AQF Level 7 equivalent) in a cognate discipline with a minimum 65% average.
• Qualifications from non-211 Chinese Universities require a 70% average.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Students may be eligible for up to 72 Units of Credit depending on their background. For the Commerce component, up to 24 Units of Credit may be awarded based on previous Business studies. For the Engineering Science component, between 24 and 48 Units of Credit may be awarded based on the student's engineering degree and work experience.

Admission Pathways

The Engineering Postgraduate Admissions Scheme (EPAS) is an alternative pathway for students considering postgraduate study. It applies to students who dont quite make the cut-off weighted average mark across all UNSW Engineering schools.

English Language Requirements

Students may be asked to provide evidence of their English proficiency to study at UNSW, depending on their educational background and citizenship. English language skills are vitally important for coping with lectures, tutorials, assignments, and examinations.

What Will I Study?

In this double degree program, students will be able to further specialize in an Engineering area of their choice, while also specializing in a business area to advance their business knowledge and skills.

There are a limited number of Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) available for this degree. The indicative CSP fees are:
