The Master of Laws / Master of Business Administration (Law) is a postgraduate double degree program that allows students to pair the breadth of knowledge from an MBA with advanced study of the law. This program is designed for practicing lawyers seeking to enhance their business and management knowledge and skills, as well as executives from a non-legal background who wish to enhance their business and management knowledge and increase their understanding of legal concepts and topics.

The LLM MBA (Law) provides students with the knowledge and practical skills to be effective in a contemporary business environment. This double degree program is open to law and non-law graduates and can be studied part-time to accommodate full-time work.

Entry Requirements
To meet the MBA (Law) entry requirements, students will need to have a strong undergraduate degree and a minimum of 2 years of professional or managerial work experience. Applicants must also meet the UNSW LLM entry requirements, which include:
- A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with Honours
- A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) obtained through either a double degree program or a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with a minimum 4-year duration
- A Postgraduate degree in law or a relevant cognate discipline
- A Bachelor degree in a relevant cognate discipline AND at least two years of documented relevant professional experience
English Language Requirements
If English isnt the students first language, they may be required to provide evidence that their English language ability meets the requirements. Students can prove this by providing evidence that they meet one or more of the following criteria:
- English language tests and university English courses
- Prior study in the medium of English
- Other qualifications
Program Structure
The LLM MBA (Law) program comprises 15 courses, totalling 90 units of credit, and is designed to be studied part-time to accommodate full-time employment. Students will complete a combination of core courses, electives, and optional specialisations to tailor their studies to their interests and career aspirations.
Full Program Structure
This program contains a total of 90 UOC and can be completed in 2.5 years with part-time study. Students must complete:
- Master of Business Administration (Law): 54 UOC through a combination of core courses and law electives
- Master of Laws: 36 UOC through a combination of core courses, electives, and an optional specialisation
