Program Overview
The Master of Arts in Teaching in Health and Physical Education (MAT) program is a 36-credit hour master's degree program designed to prepare teachers for core academic areas of Health and Physical Education. The program offers two tracks: one for currently teaching candidates needing certification in HPE and one for non-employed individuals. The program includes extensive field experiences and college coursework, and can be completed in four semesters.

The Master of Arts in Teaching in Health and Physical Education (MAT) program is a 36 credit hour master's degree program requiring extensive field experiences and college course work. This program is designed for the preparation of teachers for core academic areas of Health and Physical Education. Two options are available. Track one: candidates who are currently teaching needing certification in HPE (track one) and track two is for non-employed individuals. This is an intensive four (4) semester program with supervised apprenticeships and internships.
