International Studies, B.A.

The International Studies major at Whitworth University is designed to provide students with a global perspective, vital in today's increasingly interconnected world. Through the study of history, political science, and other subjects, students will develop an understanding and appreciation of the rich history and culture of other peoples, as well as how they impact international interactions today.

Student Experiences

Danika Lundgren '24 shared her experience studying abroad for a semester in Granada, Spain, where she took intensive Spanish classes, lived with a Spanish host family, and interned as an English teacher at an NGO serving refugees and immigrant communities. This experience allowed her to connect with students from various countries, improve her Spanish, and gain confidence.
