Exercise Science Program

The Exercise Science program at Montana State University focuses on the clinical and performance-based understandings of human movement. Students in this program can pursue advanced education to work in sports medicine or rehabilitation in positions such as physical and occupational therapy, physician assistant, sports medicine, or medical school.


B.S. in Kinesiology - Exercise Science Emphasis

The B.S. in Kinesiology with an Exercise Science emphasis allows students to customize their junior and senior year coursework for later application to health-related graduate programs. Core courses in the Exercise Science program range from anatomy and physiology to math and statistics, as well as biomechanics, nutrition, and exercise physiology.


Program Details

  • Students have opportunities to learn through hands-on experiences such as internships and research opportunities.
  • Graduates of the Exercise Science option go on to careers in corporate wellness programs, exercise rehab programs, or graduate programs related to physical or occupational therapy.
