Art, Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) - Concentration in Printmaking

The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Art with a Concentration in Printmaking is a comprehensive undergraduate program designed to foster artistic excellence, technical proficiency, and intellectual curiosity. Program Learning Outcomes

• Technique: Art majors will demonstrate technical aptitude. The department assesses the technical quality of student production. Each medium varies with its technical demands.

Basic Math Requirement

Students must complete a basic math requirement, which may be exempted based on SAT or ACT math scores.

Major Requirements

• 39 major credits must be taken at SRU or PASSHE
• 39 major credits must be taken at the 300 level or above

• Art History Electives: Select two from the list of art history courses.
• Printmaking Concentration (15 credits): Select 12 credits from the printmaking courses, including a capstone course.
• Additional Studio Requirements: 100-level electives, 200-level electives, 300-level electives, and 400-level electives.
• Art Electives: Select from 300-400 level courses.
