Program Overview

The Biology, BS - Concentration in Pre-Health Professions / Pre-Osteopathy (LECOM) (4+4) program at Slippery Rock University prepares students for a career in osteopathic medicine. The 120-credit program includes a strong foundation in natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, and pre-health professions coursework. Students who are accepted into the early acceptance program are guaranteed a seat in LECOM's Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program upon successful completion of their undergraduate studies. Graduates will be eligible to sit for the USMLE and, upon passing the exam, will be licensed to practice osteopathic medicine.
