Program Overview

The Early Childhood Education (PK-4)/Special Education (PK-12) program at Slippery Rock University prepares students to teach in diverse classrooms, including international settings. Graduates are equipped with the knowledge and skills to meet the needs of all learners, including those with disabilities, and to create inclusive learning environments. The program combines coursework in early childhood education, special education, and international education, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of child development, learning theories, and best practices for teaching in a global context.
