Program Overview
The CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services equips students with the skills and knowledge to work with diverse clients, including children, youth, families, older adults, and individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds. Graduates will be able to provide support and assistance with various social and personal issues, such as family support, homelessness, domestic violence, and drug and alcohol abuse. The program consists of 74 weeks of study, with 20 hours of instruction per week, and includes core units on assessing co-existing needs, developing service programs, and recognizing and responding to crisis situations. Graduates can pursue various career opportunities in the community services sector, such as Community Care Manager, Family Services Coordinator, and Community Services Coordinator.
