Program Overview
This program prepares students for careers as heavy-duty mechanics, who maintain and repair heavy equipment used in industries such as transportation, forestry, mining, oil and gas, construction, and agriculture. Students will learn the skills necessary to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems, and will be prepared to work in a variety of settings, including equipment dealerships, independent service companies, and owner-operated businesses.
