Program Overview
This apprenticeship program combines classroom training with on-the-job experience to prepare students for a career as an auto body and collision technician. It covers automotive collision repair techniques, auto body repair and refinishing, welding, painting, and safety regulations. Upon completion, students are eligible for Red Seal certification, a nationally recognized credential that allows for work across Canada and internationally.

Overview:
This program provides the technical training portion of your apprenticeship journey, which in combination with work-based training hours, leads to Red Seal certification.
Objectives:
- Provide students with the technical skills and knowledge required for a career as an auto body and collision technician.
- Prepare students for the Red Seal Certification Exam.
Program Description:
The program combines classroom-based learning with on-the-job training. Students will learn about:

- AUCL 100 – Automotive Collision and Refinishing Common Core Level 1 (7 weeks)

- AUCL 400 - Auto Body and Collision Technician Level 3 (6 weeks)

- Grade 10 or equivalent (Grade 12 preferred), including English 10, Math 10, Science 10.
- Mechanical inclination, attention to detail, and good manual dexterity is recommended, plus good colour vision.
- Technical training must be completed in sequence. It is recommended to complete a full year of work-based training hours between levels to best prepare for the next level of technical training.
