The Applied Science Engineering certificate prepares students for transfer into an engineering degree program under BC's common engineering curriculum. The first year of engineering education provides a broad foundation in math and science, and exposure to various engineering specializations. Engineering graduates work in a wide range of industries and organizations, including aerospace, biomedical, chemical, civil, computer, electrical, environmental, geological, industrial, materials science, manufacturing, mechanical, mechatronics, metallurgical, mining, nanotechnology, nuclear, petroleum, and engineering management. Talented engineering graduates are also sought after in other fields such as management and finance.
