Program Overview

Elmira College's Medical Humanities minor complements medical pursuits with a cultural exploration of medicine and illness. It provides an interdisciplinary understanding of wellness and its connection to identity, culture, and ethics. The program prepares students for careers in healthcare fields such as medicine, nursing, and public health, equipping them with critical thinking, communication skills, and cultural competency. Graduates will be competitive candidates for roles in patient care, healthcare policy, and medical education.
