Admission Requirements

The requirements are presented as a general list for all applicants:

  • High School Transcript: A high school transcript is required.
  • If not in English, a certified English translation is necessary. A Foreign Credential Evaluation Report is optional.
  • Proof of English Language Proficiency: International students must submit standardized test scores unless they are exempt.
  • Specific test codes are provided for TOEFL (2515), PTE (M7V), and Duolingo (add Rowan University to "My Colleges"). Official IELTS scores can be verified with the TRF# in the bottom right corner.
  • Performing/Creative Arts Majors: Students applying to art, music, theater, and dance majors need to submit an audition or portfolio review.
  • Transfer Students: Students with 12 or more college credits must submit college transcripts (and certified English translations if not in English).
  • All official transcripts are required before the semester begins. A Foreign Credential Evaluation Report is optional.

Language Proficiency Requirements:

International students must demonstrate English language proficiency unless exempt. Acceptable tests include TOEFL, PTE, Duolingo, and IELTS. The ELP is a non-credit program to improve English skills before university enrollment.
