Program Overview
The Industrial Chemistry Certificate of Graduate Study (C.O.G.S.) is intended for students with a background in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, and/or Chemical Engineering who wish to understand chemical industry procedures and practices generally employed in pharmaceutical drug development. Prospective students may be recent graduates of a bachelor's degree program, or they may be older professionals seeking to update their skills. The certificate may be earned on its own, or it can be credited towards the Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Graduates from this certificate program may find employment in the chemical/pharmaceutical industry upon graduation. Others could enter advanced graduate (Ph.D.) or professional degree (M.D./D.O./D.M.D./Pharm.D.) programs upon graduating from this C.O.G.S. program.
Curriculum
The Certificate of Graduate Study in Industrial Chemistry is a part-time program offered on ground at our Glassboro campus. It requires the completion of 12-13 graduate semester hours (four courses).

Admission Requirements
The following is a list of items required to begin the application process for the program. There may be additional actions or materials required for admission to the program. Upon receipt of the materials below, a representative from the Rowan Global Admissions Processing Office will contact you with confirmation or will indicate any missing items.
- Completed Application Form
- Completed Rowan Global Foundation Course Completion Form
- $65 (U.S.) non-refundable application fee
- Bachelor's degree (or its equivalent) from an accredited institution of higher learning
- Official transcripts from all colleges attended (regardless of number of credits earned)
- Current professional resume
- Typewritten essay that includes a statement of professional objectives
- Minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 2.8 (on a 4.0 scale)
- Two letters of recommendation
- Letters of recommendation should be from professional administrators and include information which attests to applicant's ability to pursue a graduate degree
