Program Overview
The Paramedic Technical Certificate Program at Broward College is a 42-credit program that prepares students to become paramedics. The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) and includes coursework in anatomy, physiology, assessment, pathology, pharmacology, cardiology, trauma, and medical emergencies. Graduates are eligible to take the Florida State Paramedic and National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Paramedic Examination.

- Milestone two (2) for the Emergency Medical Services Associate in Science degree
- Students who complete advanced coursework are eligible to take the Florida State Paramedic and National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Paramedic Examination
- All required coursework must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher
- All paramedic level EMS prefix courses must be taken at Broward College
