Program Overview

The Police Academy Basic Recruit Training Program prepares students for entry-level law enforcement positions in Florida. The program includes classroom instruction, practical skills, and simulated activities. Upon successful completion, students are eligible to take the Florida Department of Law Enforcement State Officer Certification exam and seek employment with a law enforcement agency. Students who complete the program are also eligible to receive 15 college credits towards an A.S. degree in Criminal Justice Technology.
