Computer Information Systems (CIS) Overview

CIS provides students with a broad background in the application of computers to the emerging needs of business and industry. CIS courses prepare students for entry-level positions in computer programming, systems analysis, computer operations and network management, information systems management, and sales and technical information positions.

Skills Competency Award Requirements

Complete all department requirements with a “C” or higher or "P" in each course. Candidates for a Skills Competency Award are required to complete at least 20% of the department requirements through SBCC.
