Program Overview

This five-year doctoral program in Ocean Engineering focuses on coursework in the first two years, followed by research and dissertation work. Core courses cover ocean measurements, hydrodynamics, waves and tides, spectral analysis, and underwater acoustics. Students select additional courses in turbulence, advanced underwater acoustics, hydrographic field work, and special topics.
