• Required Courses:
• IT 403: Introduction to Internet Technologies (4 credits)
• Select one course from the following (4 credits):
• CS 405: Introduction to Applications Programming
• CS 410C: Introduction to Scientific Programming/C
• CS 410P: Introduction to Scientific Programming/Python
• CS 414: From Problems to Algorithms to Programs
• Select one course from the following (4 credits):
• WS 444D: Cyborgs, Avatars, and Feminists: Gender in the Virtual World
• CS 408: Living in a Networked World: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Assessment:

• Credit toward the cognate is given for courses passed with a grade of C- or better.
• A 2.00 grade-point average must be maintained in courses for the cognate.
• Courses taken on a pass/fail basis may not be used for the cognate.
