Program Overview
EMU's Bachelor of Arts in K-12 Japanese Language and Culture Teaching prepares students to become proficient Japanese language teachers. The program includes a required semester abroad in Japan, coursework in language development, literature, culture, and teaching methods, and culminates in a capstone seminar and practicum. Graduates are eligible to teach in K-12 schools in Michigan, nationally, and internationally upon passing the MTTC exam.
