Program Overview

Eastern Michigan University's Bachelor of Music Education program equips students with a comprehensive foundation in music and pedagogy for teaching music in grades K-12. The program includes core courses in music theory, history, performance, and conducting, as well as professional education courses in teaching methods and inclusion. Students benefit from hands-on experiences through ensembles, applied music lessons, and student teaching, preparing them for a successful career as music educators.
