Diploma in International Culinary Arts

The Diploma in International Culinary Arts is a comprehensive program designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the culinary industry.

At the conclusion of the program, students will be able to:

• Understand the fundamentals of food safety and importance in the culinary industry.
• Recognize a range of ingredients considering their organoleptic characteristics, nutritional properties, and their functions in recipes.
• Understand and execute a range of fundamental pastry and bakery techniques.
• Execute traditional and innovative preparations by applying a range of cooking techniques, considering presentation and flavor profiles.
• Demonstrate understanding of skills and competencies necessary to succeed in the work environment.

Admission Criteria

To be eligible for the program, students must:

• Have successfully passed their High School Diploma.
• In case of passing the 10th standard, the Academic Board will review the application, and the student may be eligible for enrollment with a condition to complete selected foundation courses.
• If the student does not have prior education but has professional industry experience, their profile can also be considered.

Language Requirements

IELTS certificate is not compulsory for enrolling in the first year programs. However, students will be required to pass a formal interview with the admissions team to ensure their English knowledge is up to academic requirements.

Internship and Career Opportunities

The program guarantees paid internship placement within the UAE upon successful completion of the academic semester. The Career Center at HTMi Switzerland Dubai helps students find the right internship and provides guidance on building their CV, LinkedIn profile, and interview skills.

Visa Procedure

HTMi Switzerland Dubai will take care of all administration for the student visa. Once the registration fee and first tuition payment are made, the enrollment team will submit the necessary documents to the Dubai Immigration department.

Health Insurance

Health insurance is mandatory to obtain a student visa. HTMi Switzerland Dubai provides basic health insurance for the duration of the studies, but students can also choose their own health insurance from competitive packages available in the UAE.

Full-time Job Opportunities

80% of HTMi graduates secure their full-time job prior to graduation, and 95% of all graduates find a full-time job within the first 3 months after completing their studies.
