UTP Stage I

Program Overview

UTP Stage I is a preparatory program designed to equip students for university-level studies in various faculties, including Arts, Science, Business, and Human and Social Sciences. Students complete eight courses and achieve a minimum of 65% to progress to UTP Stage II, which offers pathways to specialized programs such as Business Technology Management, Computer Science, and Economics. Upon successful completion, students are eligible to pursue further studies in their chosen field.

Outline:

• UTP Stage I is designed to prepare students for entry into university-level programs in the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Faculty of Science, Lazaridis School of Business and Economics, and the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences.
• Students will need to complete eight courses and achieve 65% or higher to progress to UTP Stage II.

• Interdisciplinary Special Topics 102
• Beginning with Algebra
• Business Management
• Foundations of Mathematics
• Introduction to Computers and their Applications

• Introduction to Mathematics
• Introduction to Philosophical Reasoning

Careers:

• Upon successful completion of the UTP Stage I program, students will be eligible to progress to the following UTP Stage II programs:
