Program Overview

CY Tech will open in 2025 three innovative Summer Schools, giving students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the latest advancements in the fields of Technology and Artificial Intelligence. Students can choose from specialized programs in various topics: Artificial Intelligence & Visual Computing, Artificial Intelligence & Big Data, Artificial Intelligence & Cybersecurity. These programs are designed to provide hands-on learning, expert insights, and practical skills in some of the most exciting and rapidly evolving areas.

Who is it for?

• Undergraduate and Graduate Engineering students (18 years of age as a minimum criteria/exceptions can be considered)
• Native and non-native English speakers (proficiency level: IELTS 6.0 or equivalent)
• Applicants with relevant knowledge in Engineering-oriented subjects

Language Requirements

• TOEIC: 800
• IBT TOEFL: 80
• IELTS: 6.0
• French Proficiency: no prerequisite
• French as a Foreign Language: Instruction included in CY Tech program

Objectives

Visual Computing

Visual Computing is the generic term covering all computer science disciplines dealing with images, including computer graphics and computer vision, for important application domains such as digital prototyping, robotics, or video games. In this course, you will understand the basics of rendering a 3D scene and learn how to create fully interactive 3D environments using popular professional tools.

Big Data

This course will promote students' good understanding of the Big Data eco-system, current trends, highlight the Big Data challenges, allow students to build on-demand Big Data applications, and show them how to solve advanced analytics problems with Big Data using cutting-edge technologies.

Cybersecurity, and Smart Cities

This course explores the interplay between cybersecurity and smart cities, focusing on how digital infrastructure and IoT (Internet of Things) technologies can be secured in urban environments. Through theoretical lectures and supervised projects, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity challenges and solutions within modern cities.

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence is a historical field of computer science that has been completely revolutionized by the emergence of deep learning in the last decade. Applications to image processing and natural language processing now offer very interesting and powerful tools. In this course, we will illustrate some examples of such applications, mixing theoretical and practical lessons.

French as a Foreign Language

This course will enable students to start or improve their language skills in French. It is specifically designed to help them acquire language abilities and essential communicative skills according to their level.

Course Details

• ECTS: 10 ECTS / 5 US Credits
• Lectures: 63 hours (including face-to-face & supervised project in VC and AI)
  • Visual computing OR Big Data OR Cybersecurity, and Smart Cities: 21 hours (9 teaching hours + supervised project)
  • Artificial Intelligence: 21 hours (9 teaching hours + supervised project)
  • French as a Foreign Language: 21 hours (7 three hours sessions)

Program Cost

• Tuition fees: 2,000 €
• Tuition fees for students coming from a partner institution: 1,500 €

Accommodation

You will stay at the “Résidence Jean Baptiste La Salle” located less than a 5-minute walk from CY Tech. The residence provides internet access, lounge with cable TV (Canal +), fitness area, secure entrance, launderette, bike parking. You will be accommodated in a fully furnished room where you will share a kitchen and a bathroom with 3 other students. Town center, restaurants, and shops are within easy walking distance from the residence.
