Program Overview

The sonography program at OU-Tulsa prepares students for careers as ultrasound technicians, ultrasonographers, diagnostic medical sonographers, and ultrasound technologists. The program requires students to obtain competencies in Abdominal Extended, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Adult Cardiac, and Vascular sonography. Graduates are eligible to take the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography credentialing exams in these specialty areas. The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
