Professional Experience Placement (PEP)

Students will undertake 2 x 200-hour placements. These will not occur in the first semester of the course. Fieldwork placements will occur at the end of the 2nd and 3rd semesters of the course.


Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course; however, applicants should demonstrate ability to perform tasks as required by the industry.


IHNA Admission Requirements

  • 18 years of age and above at the time of commencement of the course
  • Successful completion of an Australian Year 12 course or equivalent
  • Mature age students (22+) without the minimum education requirements may also be considered for admission. Each case will be reviewed individually to ascertain the capacity of the applicant to meet qualification requirements such as significant work experience and competent language, literacy, numeracy and digital skills (LLND).

Credit Transfer (CT) & Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Credit Transfer may be awarded for previous studies or prior experience through a process known as Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Credit Transfer applies to learners who have completed units at another provider that are equivalent to those for which they plan to enrol. RPL can also be granted for skills or knowledge acquired through employment, professional development, or life experiences. Each application will be assessed in accordance with IHNA’s Credit Transfer and RPL policies and procedure.
