Degree Overview:

Civil engineers are responsible for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the infrastructure that supports modern society, including water, roads, and buildings. MSOE's Civil Engineering program provides students with the knowledge and skills to plan, design, and build these systems.

  • Environmental and Water Resources Engineering: Plan and design systems for water and wastewater treatment, solid and hazardous waste resource recovery and disposal, air pollution control, and contaminated soil and groundwater remediation.
  • Structural Engineering: Plan and design structural systems for civil engineering projects such as buildings, bridges, and foundations.
