The Diploma of Information Technology [Pathway] aligns with the subjects, skills, and experience developed in Year 1 of the Bachelor of Information Technology at JCU. Successful completion of the Diploma of Information Technology [Pathway] allows you to transition into Year 2 of a Bachelor of Information Technology.


Graduates will also meet the entry requirements of JCU Bachelor’s degrees within other study areas. Whether you pursue further study or enter the workplace, you will possess employable skills, foundational knowledge, and an understanding of key information technology strategies relevant to the industry.

  • Courses are charged per year of full-time study. International course fees are reviewed annually and subject to change.
  • A Student Services and Amenities Fee is payable per subject up to a maximum amount per year.
  • Student Visa holders must have Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of their Student Visa (except Norwegian, Swedish and Belgian citizens). Costs depend on the length of study and the number of dependants accompanying the student.
  • Scholarships and financial aid are also available for international students.
