Course Detail
What to Expect
Work in JCU's state-of-the-art clinical simulation laboratories, studying nursing and midwifery concurrently from your first year of study. Your four-year full-time (or part-time equivalent) accredited course includes extensive professional or clinical placements. Throughout your placement, you apply theoretical knowledge in a practical context, preparing you for a smooth transition into the workplace. Gain experience with our partner hospitals and health services across regional, rural, and remote Queensland, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and international locations.
Career Opportunities
The nursing and midwifery double degree opens many career paths. As a graduate, you could work in hospitals or a variety of healthcare settings. You will also be eligible for professional registration in Australia as a General Nurse and a Midwife.
