Overview
The Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) is a four-year undergraduate degree that equips students with the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to become a qualified speech pathologist. The program is accredited by Speech Pathology Australia and prepares graduates for a career in speech pathology, working with individuals with communication and swallowing difficulties.
Entry Requirements
- ATAR: 70
- English (Units 3/4, C) plus one of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, or Health (Units 3/4, C)
Course Structure
The program consists of four years of full-time study, with the option to complete Levels 1 and 2 part-time. The course includes:
- 800 hours of professional placements in urban, regional, and remote areas
- Study of speech pathology theory and practice, anatomy, linguistics, psychology, medicine, education, and communication
- Development of highly specialized theoretical and practical knowledge in speech pathology
