The Graduate Certificate of Rehabilitation is a six-month full-time (or equivalent part-time) external course designed for health professionals who want to enhance their current qualifications and take the next step in their career. This course builds on your professional expertise to extend knowledge and skills in rehabilitation, with a focus on tropical, rural, remote, and Indigenous communities.

Course Detail

This course is designed to enhance professional expertise in the field of rehabilitation across a variety of settings and client populations. Students will learn to critically appraise and analyze research publications in the fields of health and rehabilitation and gain greater insight into the application of evidence-based practice.

• Occupational Therapy: Extend occupational therapy and rehabilitation knowledge to deliver services to people with chronic conditions or disability in a range of settings.
• Physiotherapy: Expand existing professional skills and experience in physiotherapy, exploring rehabilitation for people with chronic conditions and specialty areas of practice.
• Speech Pathology: Equip students with the most up-to-date knowledge and practical skills in the field of speech pathology, enhancing current professional qualifications to explore more specialized methods of diagnosing and managing adults and children with complex communication and swallowing disorders.
