Program Overview


The Associate in Science in Inside Wireman program prepares students for careers as General Electricians, meeting the requirements for "whole program status" set by the Department of Apprenticeship Standards. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to take the State certification examination for electricians and are equipped with the knowledge and skills for foundational sciences, mathematics, safety, plan and code reading, and job-based skills. The program includes general education courses in English, humanities, natural sciences, social and behavioral sciences, and communication and analytical thinking. Graduates can expect to earn an average salary of $78,000 and have career opportunities in the construction trades.
