Program Overview

The Plumbing and Pipefitting Apprenticeship program at Foothill College is a 5-year program that combines in-class instruction with paid on-the-job training. Students learn to build, assemble, and maintain piping systems in industrial and residential facilities, and develop skills in plumbing and building mechanical systems. The program prepares students for careers as septic tank servicers, sewer pipe cleaners, first-line supervisors of construction trades, pipelayers, and plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters.
