Tertiary Preparation:

• All students must complete the tertiary preparation modules Mathematics for Study (MMS001) and Language for Study (LGS001).
• These modules do not count towards the study load or GPA, but a non-graded pass is required for the program of study.

Modules:

• Essential Study Skills: Covers independent learning skills, active listening, presentation, and group work skills.
• Information and New Media Technologies: Introduces the use of the Internet, social media, and Microsoft Office for effective communication, and discusses ethical and security issues.
• Communication, People, Place, and Culture: Introduces the principles of communication, investigates different forms of communication, and describes cultural influences on the communication process.
• Academic Research and Critical Enquiry: Introduces critical thinking, academic reading, listening, notetaking, written formats, and referencing.
• Chemistry: Introduces the basic principles of chemistry, analytical techniques, and chemical properties and reactions.
• Human Physiology Fundamentals: Covers the function of the nervous, muscle, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems, and introduces scientific terminology related to human physiology.
