Information Technology
Develop expertise in multiple areas of Information Technology (IT) including computer programming, data analysis and multimedia. As you study the fundamentals of problem-solving and programming, the importance of data modelling, and design and development, you’ll be equipped to help your current or future workplace run smoothly and innovatively.
Put your knowledge and skills to the test as you work on a collaborative ICT project across two core subjects. Working together in teams, students will select a project from industry, the local community, or the university research community and use various approaches to IT project management to determine what makes for best practice and results. You will develop strong collaborative and interpersonal skills, gain experience in problem-solving for complex issues, learn how to enhance project outcomes, and take a practical research project from proposal to presentation. Your project could be in the area of marketing, web development, game development, or another that your team may choose.
Business Administration
JCU’s Master of Business Administration degree has a strong focus on applying and integrating sustainable economic, social and environmental business performance methods to new and existing business models. You will learn how to evaluate the context of a business or organisation and identify the appropriate performance method/s to enhance its performance or solve a key issue within the business’s framework. You will study a broad body of theoretical and technical knowledge and gain skills in critically analysing complex contemporary business issues and making effective decisions or recommendations for improvement.

Entry Requirements:
Completion of an AQF level 7 bachelor degree in an IT-cognate course from this or another university.
Language Proficiency Requirements:
Applicants of non-English speaking backgrounds must meet the English language proficiency requirements of Band 2 – Schedule II of the JCU Admissions Policy or have successfully completed an AQF 8 qualification from James Cook University within the previous two (2) years.
