Program Overview


Niagara University's Early Childhood and Special Education (Birth-2) program prepares educators to teach and lead in early childhood settings. The program leads to initial and professional New York State teacher certifications in both early childhood education (birth-grade two) and students with disabilities (birth-grade two). Graduates are equipped to be teachers, leaders, and directors of early childhood programs, development specialists, and teacher educators. The program consists of 36 credit hours of coursework and a 120-hour practicum experience.
