Introduction to the M.S. in Criminal Justice Program
The Master of Science in Criminal Justice program at Nova Southeastern University provides an opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for mid-level management, leadership roles, and academic advancement. This program combines the flexibility of online learning with hands-on engagement, integrating experiential learning, live synchronous sessions, and interactive simulations to bridge theory and practice.
Program Overview
Designed for both practitioners and scholars, the curriculum prepares students for leadership roles, policy development, or future doctoral studies, equipping them with the knowledge and experience to excel in the field. The program consists of 30 total credits and can be completed in as little as 18 months.
Concentration Tracks
The M.S. in Criminal Justice program offers several concentration tracks, including:
- Behavioral Science: Receive specialized training in behavioral science issues, and gain the knowledge and skills to work in law enforcement and criminal justice agencies.
- Child Protection and Juvenile Justice: Gain the knowledge and skills to have a successful career in agencies such as the Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Children and Family Services, and others.
- Investigative Forensic Technology: Receive specialized training in the burgeoning field of forensic investigation, learning about investigative and analysis techniques used during criminal investigations.
