Bachelor's in Education

The Bachelor of Science in Education degree program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the foundations of the education system. The program offers two concentrations:

Experiential Learning/Internships

The college offers various mentorship opportunities and both simulated and real-world classroom experiences. Field experiences provide students with the opportunity to perform the duties of a classroom teacher within the classroom setting.


Professional Licensure Disclosure

Florida participates in the National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification Interstate (NASDTEC) Agreement, facilitating mobility of Educational Personnel with more than 50 other states and jurisdictions for teacher certification and/or licensure.


Dual Admission

The college offers a Dual Admission program, which allows students to reserve a seat in one of NSU's graduate or professional schools while earning their bachelor's degree.


Curriculum

The curriculum is regularly reviewed and updated to give students an edge in today's ever-changing world. As an NSU Education major, some courses that students could take include Educational Psychology, Second Language Learning, Educational Assessment, and Methods of Teaching Secondary Reading.
