  • The Olympic College Associate in Technical Arts in Nursing (RN) Program prepares graduates for employment as Registered Nurses in home care, acute care, long term care, and community-based care agencies.
  • The program is comprised of two pathways:
  • -- The Nursing (RN) ATA Pathway is designed to prepare qualified candidates to become Registered Nurses in two years.
  • -- The Nursing (LPN to RN) ATA Pathway is designed to prepare qualified Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to become Registered Nurses in four quarters, plus one transition course.
  • The curriculum includes a balance of general education courses, nursing theory, and nursing practice.
  • Graduates of the Nursing (RN) and Nursing (LPN to RN) Pathways will receive the Associate in Technical Arts Degree, which qualifies candidates for eligibility to take the NCLEX-RN examination for licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • This license permits the nurse to use the legal title of Registered Nurse in the State of Washington. Graduates are prepared for employment as Registered Nurses in home health care, hospitals, long-term care, and community-based care agencies.
