Program Overview

The Philosophy program at this institution prepares students for transfer to the CSU system for further study in philosophy. It develops critical thinking skills through the examination of diverse viewpoints related to the human experience. The program consists of core courses in logic, introduction to philosophy, and ethics, as well as selective courses in history of philosophy, world religions, and other related disciplines. Philosophy is a "transferable work skill" that prepares students for careers in various fields, including law, religion, business, and post-graduate education.
