Master's in Educational Leadership
The Master's in Educational Leadership program is designed to prepare students for leadership roles in education. The program offers two concentration tracks:
- Master's Degree + Certification: This track prepares students for administrative positions in public and nonpublic schools and school systems.
- Master's Degree Only: This track prepares students for roles in management or administration.
Program Details
The Master's in Educational Leadership program is a 30-credit program that can be completed in as little as four semesters. The program features a flexible, online learning experience and a research-based curriculum. Students can choose from two concentration tracks:
- Master's Degree + Certification: This track requires the completion of 30 credits, including core courses and additional requirements for certification.
- Master's Degree Only: This track requires the completion of 30 credits, including core courses and elective courses.

Admission Requirements
The admission requirements for the Master's in Educational Leadership program include:
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 (2.5 for the degree-only track)
- Current Professional Educators Certificate (for the certification track)
- Supervisor Recommendation Form
- Two most recent performance evaluations
- $50 nonrefundable application fee
Field Experiences and Administrative Internship
The program includes field experiences and an administrative internship, which provide students with hands-on experience in educational leadership. The internship requires a minimum of 300 contact hours and includes observation, interview, and work with an assigned administrator.
Certification Details
The certification track is a state-approved program in Florida, and course content is research-based and infuses best practices in education while aligning directly with the Florida Department of Education's program certification requirements. Graduates who wish to teach outside the state of Florida must contact their state's department of education for information on attaining certification/licensure through reciprocity.
