Program Overview
The World Languages Associate in Arts - Direct Transfer Agreement (AA-DTA) provides a solid foundation in a world language, fostering cultural competence and preparing students for careers requiring language skills. It allows students to transfer to a four-year university as juniors, having completed the lower-division general education requirements for a Bachelor's degree in a World Language. The World Languages Associate in Arts - Direct Transfer Agreement (AA-DTA) allows you to transfer to a four-year university to pursue a Bachelor’s degree with a major in a World Language. With this AA degree, you will complete the lower-division general education requirements of a Bachelor’s degree and be able to transfer at the junior level.
Objectives:
- To provide students with a strong foundation in a world language, including the four skills of reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
- To develop students' cultural competence and understanding of the world.
- To prepare students for success in a variety of careers that require language skills.
