This carpentry technology framing level 1 certificate prepares students with the fundamental skills and knowledge to find work with general or specialized contractors who focus on residential or light commercial framing, encompassing work on floors, walls, truss roofs, light metal framing, etc. Students cultivate crucial abilities in print reading, wall layout, assembling and erecting floors, walls, and truss roof systems. Moreover, they gain a thorough understanding of WISHA/OSHA safety regulations and essential code requirements guiding framing practices. Additionally, they acquire expertise in utilizing portable power tools tailored for framing construction, coupled with a comprehensive grasp of framing material specifications. Completing this certificate fulfills three Preferred Enrollment and Advance Placement requirements established by CEATT (Carpenters Employers Apprenticeship Training Trust).

CARP 114 - Wall and Roof Framing (13 credits)
