This is a one-quarter certification program designed for both the new student entering the field of Mechatronics and for the current employee who wishes to learn more about the knowledge and skills currently in demand by employers. Upon completion of this certificate, the students are prepared for entry into industry as a Mechatronics Technician trainee. Instruction covers basic fluid power, basic electrical and electronics. Other subjects include shop safety, reading engineering drawings, shop mathematics, industrial equipment theory, reverse engineering, as well as lean manufacturing and other skills currently required by the manufacturing industry.
