Program Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Post-Secondary Mathematics Education prepares instructors to teach introductory mathematics courses in higher education. The program includes 12 credits of core courses in mathematics and education, and 6 credits of elective courses. The program's objectives are to provide a sufficient depth and rigor of mathematical sciences to instruct introductory college-level courses, to develop proficiency in formulating and solving mathematical problems, and to foster an understanding of, and ability to analyze and write, mathematical proofs.
