Program Overview
This 24-month diploma program in 3D Animation provides students with comprehensive training in digital sculpting, modelling, animation, and character design. Through hands-on modules and an 8-week internship, students develop the skills necessary for careers in the animation, gaming, and visual effects industries. Graduates are prepared for roles such as 3D animators, modellers, texturers, and visual effects artists.

- Students learn digital sculpting and 3D modelling techniques using Mudbox.
Traditional Drawing (Painting & Illustration Using Photoshop)
- Students learn digital drawing, illustration, and painting using Photoshop.
Character Design and Storyboarding
- Students learn character design and storyboarding techniques.
Low Polygon Modelling and Animation (Introduction to Maya)
- Students learn low polygon modelling and animation using Maya.
Image Manipulation With Photoshop (Introduction to Textures)
- Students learn image manipulation and texture creation using Photoshop.
Character Skinning, Textures & Materials (Introduction to Animation)
- Students learn character skinning, texturing, and animation.
3D Character Modelling
- Students model organic shapes and characters using polygon modelling.
Modelling, Character Rigging
- Students learn character rigging and motion library creation.
Character Skinning, Textures & Materials Mapping
- Students learn material attribute assignment and creation of seamless tiles, environment maps, and character skins.
Character Animation
- Students learn character animation techniques based on the 12 principles of animation.
Advanced Character Animation
- Students learn advanced character animation techniques, including visemes for lip synching and facial animation.
Architectural and Environmental Modelling
- Students learn architectural modelling based on blueprints.
Lighting & Special Effects
- Students learn special effects creation using particle systems, forces, and space warps.
Advanced Lighting & Special Effects
- Students learn advanced lighting techniques, including GI and Caustics, and rendering using Arnold.
Game Culture & Industries (Level Design)
- Students work on a video game level design project.
Demo Reel I
- Students create a 15-to-30-second demo reel showcasing their skills.
Demo Reel II
- Students continue working on their demo reel.
Internship Part 1 (Internal Internship)
- Students continue improving their demo reel while working on projects.
Internship Part 2 (External Internship)
- Students complete an 8-week internship in a company, applying their skills.

Quebec issued high school diploma or equivalent, Minimum of two consecutive terms OR One school year interruption from full-time studies OR Minimum of one year post-secondary education, Pass a general admissions entrance test, Meet any additional program specific entrance requirements
