Program Overview
The K-12 French language teaching major at Hope College, in partnership with the Education Department, offers 24 credits of French coursework, including study abroad, and requires a secondary education teaching major and potential content minor. The program prepares students for certification through the Michigan Department of Education to teach French in K-12 schools.

Degree Overview:
In partnership with the Hope College Education Department, the Department of World Languages and Cultures offers a K-12 French language teaching major for certification through the Michigan Department of Education. The major consists of 24 credits, and students must complete at least one semester in a study abroad program. In addition, students must also declare one of the 44-credit secondary education teaching majors. Students may also declare a content minor.
