Program Overview

This program prepares students to teach social science at the secondary level. Students complete lower division coursework in history, U.S. history and government, and history fundamentals. Upper division coursework includes core courses in teaching diverse students, economic issues, history writing, American government, and California and U.S. history. Students also complete six upper division U.S. history courses approved by their advisor.
