Program Overview

The Advanced Certificate in Ethics of Science and Emerging Technologies at San José State University equips students with advanced knowledge in ethics, scientific inquiry, and decision-making. The program offers 12 units of coursework in philosophy of science, ethical theory, applied ethics, and advanced ethics or epistemology. Graduates are prepared for careers in research, science policy, bioethics, environmental ethics, technology ethics, education, and non-profit organizations.
